Autism as a Way of Being

In autism our behaviors, our perception, our processing, and our learning is atypical.

Inputs and outputs are relative to our neural networks, behind which are hidden layers of information processing. It is not only our open processing and recognizing of the input of environmental systems when we stim, but also how we translate this into mental and physical discrete action. My study in physics and machine learning makes me wonder about the internal machinations of our human bodies and minds.

Reality is what we make of it.

Sameer Dahar (pictured, right) is a gifted young adult with autism, and is a member of the US Autism Association’s Advisory Board. As he is primarily non-vocal, he is a strong advocate for those who have no voice.
