Biography

Dr. Wenn, (Phd) autistic lecturer, British psychologist, researcher, advocate, writer and poet has passionately shared professional and personal knowledge of autism over the past 3 decades. He has written/contributed to over 30 books and many papers.

Wenn is an Adjunct Associate Professor with Curtin University (WA), Senior researcher with Macquarie University (NSW), Tutor Practitioner with the University of Birmingham’s (UK) Masters Inclusive Practice course, member of the autism Co-operative Research Centre (ACRC), member of the Autism Research Council, Australia, Ambassador for ‘I CAN’, Australia, and on the Editorial Board ‘Autism in Adulthood’ and Board of Directors Autism Research Institute (US).

Dr. Wenn is a family man with autistic offspring and grandchildren. In 2008 Dr. Wenn was awarded 4th. place as Victorian Australian of The Year, in 2017 he presented to the United Nations on matters of Autism and ageing and in 2022 he was awarded the Lesley Hall Award for Lifetime achievement. Wenn is a theorist of the Monotropism account of Autism.

Dr. Wenn Lawson is a member of the US Autism Association Advisory Board.
