Approaches to Autism, Season 2, Episode 6: The Research Behind Evidence-Based Interventions

Connie Kasari, Ph.D., who is the current president of the International Society of Autism Research and a founding member of the Center for Autism Research and Treatment at UCLA, will share her expertise on the topic of novel, evidence-tested interventions for autism that can be implemented in community settings. Her recent projects include targeted treatments for early social communication development in at risk infants, toddlers and preschoolers with autism, and peer relationships for school aged children with autism. Dr. Kasari leads several large, multi-site studies and her work is central to the research driving today's autism treatments.
