For this reason, the US Autism Association relies heavily on its Advisory Board, a majority of whom are either parents of those diagnosed or diagnosed across the autism spectrum themselves.

Laurence A. Becker, Ph.D.

He also served on the advisory board of the Inside Outside School near Austin, and Strokes of Genius in NYC. We had the pleasure of speaking with him in his final years. Becker dedicated his life’s work to bringing awareness to the needs of others and he will be deeply missed by the entire autism community.
