Michael McManmon, Ed.D.
Dr. Michael McManmon, a member of the US Autism Association Advisory Board, founded the College Internship Program (CIP) in 1984. He has a unique perspective as he was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and grew up in a family with many individuals on the spectrum.

During his 50 years of experience he has worked on Curriculum Development, Staff Training, Program Evaluation, etc. He speaks and presents at professional conferences nationally and internationally.
He is licensed as a Psychologist and prior to Founding CIP, he worked for state, private and non-profit organizations in several states and was certified as a family teacher through the Boys Town Center in Nebraska.
He received his:
B.A. in English from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Maryland
Masters in Counseling from Shippensburg University
Masters in Human Development from the University of Kansas
Doctorate in Special Education from the University of Nevada.
He has six children and 19 grandchildren, and is an avid artist, writer, swimmer, gardener and traveler.
