Nigel Rising, Esq.
AuDHD Founder, Director & CEO
Nigel Rising has worked in the financial services industry for thirty years, specifically compliance and surveillance. Past employers include Charles Schwab, USAA and AIG. Among her proudest accomplishments is creating an entire compliance department for a national financial services firm essentially from scratch. Upon her hire, that firm had suffered a serious failure to supervise notice for their compliance deficiencies which threatened the firm's business continuity. Upon her departure to attend law school at age 41, all deficiencies had been resolved to the satisfaction of all state and federal governing regulatory authorities. She has also conducted hundreds of internal investigations, many of which resulted in the termination of nefarious financial advisors from their firms. Her unwavering Autistic sense of justice has always driven her. The proud daughter of a US Army sergeant and resilient mother, Nigel has a reputation for getting things done and is notorious for her zero tolerance policy for small talk and drama.
In founding and leading AWE, she has discovered her true passion. Unable to tolerate a standard business chair and desk office environment due to arthritis and sensory sensitivities, she operates from what she calls her Bean Bag Boardroom in her apartment in Denver, Colorado. Deftly maneuvering the names of the brightest female minds in the Autism community around her Excel spreadsheets to organize life-changing events for her Autistic sisters, she breaks from her laptop only at the demand of her 14-year old service dog and shih-tzu, Kirby Leonidas, for a bacon treat or walkies.
She is also currently pursuing her solo skydiving license.
