For this reason, the US Autism Association relies heavily on its Advisory Board, a majority of whom are either parents of those diagnosed or diagnosed across the autism spectrum themselves.

Bren Payne is a veteran teacher of over 25 years having taught multiple subjects across multiple grades in both special education and general education classrooms. Three years ago he accepted a position as the Principal of Horizon Alternative Junior and Senior High School in Evanston, Wyoming. In addition to his years of dedicated service in public school education, Bren is a published author and speaker.
